Questions

Why were you given your particular name? Joanne Louise was my mom's sister's name. My parents just added an "a" to the end of Joanne.

How many brothers and sisters do you have? 2 brothers. I'm right in the middle, which I LOVE.

What is your favorite thing to do?
My favorite? I can only nail it down to a top 5: Reading, Writing, Running, Volleyball, Backpacking

What is your favorite food?
A salad that my mom makes. I have no clue what's in it... =D

What is your favorite book?
ohhh I could never choose. I like Jane Austen, C.S Lewis, and L.M Montgomery. Right now I'm reading, "Herland: A Lost Feminist Utopian Novel", which is proving to be interesting so far.

What is your favorite candy bar?
Not anything chocolate. Proabably gummy bears.

What is your favorite cookie?
White chocolate chip with cranberries.

What is your favorite sport?
Volleyball

What is your favorite kind of music?
I dislike country and rap. Other than that, a tiny bit of everything.


What do you want to be when you grow up?
right now I'm interested in journalism or education - i'm told I'll most likely change my mind though.

How many kids do you want when you get married?
i love having two other siblings, so maybe three kids.


What place would you like to visit? Italy. My aunt and uncle live there, so I'd love to fly over someday.

What is your favorite thing about your mom?
that she's one of my best friends, not just my mom (cheesy, but true)

Do you like to sing?
I used to be in choir, but I only joined so I could draw pictures of the ELCA faculty with my best friend... instead of singing. So, honestly, no.

Do you like to dance?
haha. i go to east linn. but i do like dancing with my daddy. =D

Do you like to play a musical instrument?
I play a little guitar, which I LOVE. I want to learn more.

What musical instruments can you play?
A little guitar. I used to play piano, but lost interest.

What is your favorite type of art?
My favorite type of art to create is collages or charcoal etchings. I love looking at almost any kind of art, though.

Have you ever seen a broadway musical? Do you like theater?
No, I haven't. However, I'm beginning to really enjoy drama. Infact, I'm in the school's spring play.

Do you like building things?
I don't usually actually build things, but I've been restoring a lot of stuff lately (a step ladder, chair, memory board, etc). I think I'd love to learn woodworking. If I had a list of "most satisfying activities in the world", I'd put "working with my hands" in the top 5.

What would you like to learn about cars?
Anything. I don't even know how to check the oil right now. Cars are scary.

What would you like to teach others about?
I could write a whole post about this. Good teachers inspire me more than anyone in the world, and I feel very strongly about education. I'd love to be a teacher someday.

What are three adjectives which describe you?
easy going, driven, confused

What do you want to be doing in five years?
I'll be 22 in five years. So proabably still in school.

What do you want to be doing in ten years?
Hopefully immersed in a fascinating career.

What are your favorite subjects in school?
british literature, advanced literature

When you have an hour of free time, what do you like to do?
I like reading, writing, sketching, or running. Or just talking to friends.

What is the strangest thing you ever did?
Proabably rescuing a dozen goldfish out of a toilet, with the help of a friend.

I'm glad to hear you like being a middle child. We've had people tell us that having three kids is a bad idea because middle children always feel lost/turn out weird/something along those lines, so I worry a little about poor little Lucy. Hopefully she'll turn out like you!
